If you’ve found my website, it’s probably because you have a concern about your health – or the desire to take control! We can help.

Who We Are

My Healthy Potential was founded by Thomas R. Bender, M.D., M.P.H., FACPM. Dr. Bender spent 25 years at the CDC and 25 years in private practice. He is a specialist in preventive medicine. This site combines his passion for technology and prevention to empower site members to make positive changes.

How Is My Healthy Potential Different?

You may have read books, visited doctors, or tried diets (there’s a lot!). They are all good in their own way. But we believe that by arming you with information, and guiding you along the way, you will be able to control your lifestyle today and in the future. Our Members

We work with people who are starting to have a health concern, or a desire to be in control of their health. Our clients want to make a change in their lives – without necessarily relying on medication. We work with people who want to control their weight but haven’t found a way to do that consistently. Keep in mind that the earlier you start, the easier it will be, and the more quickly you will get results!

How Do We Work?

Just like we need teachers to learn in school, mentors to guide us at work, and athletic coaches to train us in sports, My Healthy Potential is your health coach – helping you improve how you eat, how you can overcome cravings, how to exercise effectively and how you can set up and establish and reach your healthy lifestyle goals.
